The original and most powerful expression of Penfolds multi-vineyard, multi-district blending philosophy, Grange is arguably Australia’s most celebrated wine and is officially listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia. Crafted utilising fully-ripe, intensely-flavoured and structured Shiraz grapes, the result is a unique Australian style that is now recognised as one of the most consistent of the world’s great wines. With an unbroken line of vintages from the experimental 1951, Grange clearly demonstrates the synergy between Shiraz and the soils and climates of South Australia.

The Penfolds St Henri style is a dramatic contrast to Grange. St Henri is pure, unadorned Shiraz, virtually alone among high quality Australian reds in that it has never relied on new oak. It was created in the mid-1950s(first commercial vintage 1957) and gained a new lease on life in the 1990s asits quality and distinctive style became better understood. Penfolds St Henri is rich and plush when young and gains soft, earthy, mocha-like characters as it ages. Before bottling it is matured in old, 2000 litre vats that allow the wine to develop, but impart no oak character. A proportion of Cabernet is used to improve structure, but in Penfolds St Henri, Shiraz stands alone.

"Coming from the small, single vineyard surrounding the original Magill winery, the deep garnet-purple colored 2013 Shiraz Magill Estate reveals gorgeous black plums and blackberry tart aromas with spice box, vanilla, lavender and cola suggestions plus some cigar box hints. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated, rich and expressive, it has a rock solid backbone of ine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity, inishing with great length and harmony. Best Magill Estate ever? It is certainly the finest I’ve tasted" - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

“Offers a mouthful of bright and juicy black cherry and raspberry flavors that are generous and supple, articulated by touches of clove, matcha green tea and bergamot. Velvety tannins gain traction on the finish. Drink now through 2030.”

"Medium to full-bodied mouth with wonderful grace and depth, it reveals an incredible array of ripe black fruit, spice, meat and earth-inspired flavors, with a rock-solid frame to support this beauty (it should easily cellar for 40+ years!), while previously latent flavors emerge fully on the epically long finish, culminating in that ultimate Grange experience." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

"Rich, concentrated and intense, the 2014 Grange delivers exactly what we've come to expect from this Penfolds icon wine. It's full-bodied, velvety in feel and loaded with plummy fruit, framed in vanilla and cedar. Dense, powerful and tannic, it should prove to be long live, even by Grange standards."

"It offers hints of vanilla and cedar, but more than anything, it showcases the region's bold berry and plum fruit. Full-bodied and rich, verging on decadent, yet firmly structured and long on the finish, it's a powerful yet elegant wine that is capable of being consumed young or aging up to two decades."

"Having embarked on a career in the wine business right around the time the first RWT was released, it's a treat to see how the latest version is showing."

Opulent and fleshy, contrasting with Grange, which is
more muscular and assertive. RWT is made from fruit primarily
selected for its aromatic qualities and fine texture rather than sheer
intensity or power of flavour. The result is a wine that helps to
redefine Barossa Shiraz at the highest quality level.
